Command
Well, Bf came home from his second day in the sim happy… Apparently the training Captain assessing them congratulated them on a superb performance; saying he’d not seen another flight deck team handle the scenario better.
He told Bf that he was up to Command standard, and he was chuffed that yet another glowing report about him has been filed.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that he’ll get his command any time soon. He’s WAY down the seniority list, so regardless of his aptitude status, it’ll be a good number of years before Captain Bf ever flies!
I had a good day too, I spent the morning catching up with some of my antenatal friends and their babies. They’re all sitting up now, and it’s sweet to see them starting to interact with each other-even if they do all want to pull her hair!
We’re all meeting up without the babies for the first time for a meal and some drinks next week, which should be interesting! We’re probably all complete light weights after the break from alcohol for so long too!
In some ways it will be a sad night… The end of an era. In January, most of us will be returning to work of some description. For most, it’ll only be part-time. It will take a lot more organising to get us all together at the same time in the future.
I spent the afternoon making a ‘Christmas container’ with my youngest son for a competition at his school. I spent a fortune on Craft equipment, acrylic paint and embellishments to create the masterpiece. I was quite proud of our joint efforts! If he doesn’t win, then it’s a fix! Bf thought I was insane spending so much time and money on it, but it’s the first school event like this that the kids have had. I think I was more excited about it than they were!
